This listing is for a lovely Herend Hungary porcelain table ashtray in the ROTHSCHILD BIRD  pattern with 24 K gold trim. The ashtray Is decorated with colorful birds perched on branches in the center and with butterflies and flying insects on the top edge and around the sides on a white ground with gilded accents. The decoration on the flat top border alternate with notches for cigarettes. Marked with older Herend Hungary trademark used from 1915-1930''s. Measures 1 1/4" high and 5 7/8" in diameter. This nice ashtray is in excellent condition with no noted flaws. The center is clean and the design is sharp.
