Product Description
This is a vintage clambroth milk glass cannister or kitchen storage jar, typical of jars manufactured from the 1930''s to the 1950''s. The jar is made from translucent opaline glass, and the embossed aluminum lid is painted black. The neck of the jar has a cross-hatched or ribbed band which is hidden when the lid is in place. The jar is about 7 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches square - the vertical corners are chamfered and the bottom and top shoulders are slightly rounded to create an oval effect on the side panels (4 inches wide by 5 inches high). There is a mold mark on the bottom, but no identifying manufacturer''s mark. Slight wear (dings) to the metal lid but no flakes, chips or cracks in the glass. Overall in good used vintage condition.
