Hero Masons Patent Nov 30th 1858 fruit jar. This jar dates from 1(contact info removed) and was made by the Hero Fruit Jar company. The letters H F J CO are faint, but you can see them in the Hero Cross emblem. On the bottom, it is marked Pat. Nov 26 67. This was the Hero patent date for the shape of the jar. The jar is 1 quart and measures 7 ½ inches tall by 3 ¾ inches wide at the base. Red Book of Fruit Jars reference # 1938.
Has a few blemishes - notably a surface crack on the inside bottom. Does not reach to the outside.
