Extremely rare specimen of crystallized Carletonite from the Poudrette Quarry at Mont Saint-Hilaire in Quebec, Canada. Carletonite is a silicate mineral with tetragonal crystals are a translucent blue and white with a vitreous luster. This fully natural, collector’s grade piece features lustrous royal blue carletonite crystals with accents of gemmy calcite, vesuvianite and druzy sparkling quartz in the matrix. The raw blue bladed crystals even have a blue translucent glow when side lit. The specimen is also a bit UV fluorescent with areas that glow under UV lighting. Beautiful example of a rare and highly collectible Canadian mineral. Great small cabinet display size at about 2.2 by 1.8 by 1.5 inches. Includes the collection mineral ID / locale info card.
