Product Description
On January 2, 1892, a 15-year-old Annie Moore, from Ireland, became the first person to pass through the newly opened Ellis Island Reception Center, which President Benjamin Harrison designated as America’s first federal immigration center in 1890. To honor the 100th year anniversary of the Ellis Island Reception Center, The Statue of Liberty Ellis Island Foundation created "Megan", in honor the of young Annie.
"Megan" is part of the The Ellis Island Collection, produced, by Lenox. The limited edition, commemorative doll is crafted of fine bisque porcelain and carefully painted by hand. She measures approx 19" high and is wearing period clothing from her native country, Ireland. Megan comes with original box and stand. Box does show wear but Meagan has never been displayed!
